Assistance Package for Families of Employees Who Die in Service or Are 100% Incapacitated Due to Fatal/Non-Fatal Accidents
IESCO’s Board of Directors approved the adoption of a PEPCO Office Memorandum regarding the assistance package. The package applies immediately to employees who die in service or become 100% disabled due to work-related accidents.
Benefits Include:
- Ex-Gratia Grant
Rs. 3.5 million to families of employees who die due to accidents or are 100% incapacitated. - Housing Support
Retention of house or rent payment for 5 years or until retirement date of the deceased, whichever is sooner. - Employment Quota
One child or widow is eligible for employment in BPS-1 to BPS-15 without advertisement, based on qualifications. - Medical Treatment
Best possible medical treatment in Pakistan for employees incapacitated in accidents, including provision of best available artificial limbs. - Free Education
Free education (up to graduation in all fields) for all children of the deceased or incapacitated employee in public/government institutions. Includes tuition, books, and living allowances (subject to verification). - Welfare Fund
As per entitlement, grant to the family. - Marriage Grant
Rs. 400,000 (Rs. 200,000 per child) for the marriage of up to two children of the deceased/incapacitated employee. - Free Electricity
100% free electricity units to the family or incapacitated employee until retirement age. After that, reduced to 50%.
